Introduction to PHP

WWW is constantly evolving technology or better say network which has covered a long distance since its evolution in the 90’s.
Then websites were meant for sharing information with hardly any demands for user authentication or authorization. In short, the resource was uniform for all the users.
With the progress of technology, when we have reached a point where we are catering dynamics content to our users like a user with admin rights is different from the user having only reading rights. We were in a need to think for a dynamic language which can serve this purpose.

Therefore the solution to the above query resulted into the development of server side languages. One of these server side languages we are discussing here is ‘PHP’

 What is PHP?
PHP is known as a server-sided language. That's because the PHP doesn't get executed on your computer or client side. It is easy to learn. These tutorials assume that you have no programming experience at all.
The most popular explanation of what PHP stands for is "Hypertext Pre-processor". But that would make it HPP, surely? An alternative explanation is that the initials come from the earliest version of the program, which was called Personal Home Page.

Why Learn PHP?
1 It is an easy language to learn
2. PHP being an open source language, it has an extensive documentation for ready reference.(Refer:Php.net)
3. More than 80% websites are based on this.

4. So learning the language will make it easier to debug the working of the sites. In turn it will prove helpful to secure those apps.
